Dear {{{firstname}}}

Our Shark Week started earlier with the Summer Tour of the Sketchbook Project around the country. My sketchbook "Encyclopedia of ... Sharks", part four of a serie available at the Brooklyn Art Library, will be soon in Kansas City, Louisville, Baltimore.... and more.

It should have been followed by my 4th exhibition underwater with Aquart at the bottom of the Flintkote Quarry where my Matador (2010) is permanently displayed but, for reduced visibility, the event has been postponed to August 2014. More... (pic @Jean-Louis Courteau)

Twenty years ago, during the summer, I was completing my famous "Corrida" (September 1993).

That was just another painting I enjoyed to paint, having fun with my neighbour Jean-Michel posing, not for the great white but for the Matador.

I didn't know that I hitted the jackpot. I'm lucky and glad that my signature painting is valued every time I show it.

THE 5TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY AUCTION !

I will be glad to talk to you about it, about my passion for the sharks, about my support to many organizations working to let the public know the facts about this amazing creature. I can do it, for the benefit of the Shark Research Institute, if you bid during it "Shark Celebrity Auction", starting this Friday.

How it works: Bid on a shark expert or celebrity that lives or works nearby, unless you are willing to drive or fly to their location (Pascal is #38). The winning bidder pays for the celebrity’s meal, and may bring guests.

Shark Research Institute will introduce each winning bidder to his or her shark celebrity. The two then set a mutually convenient date, time and place to get together within 365 days of the close of the auction.

The auction starts August 9, 2013 at 9 pm EST and runs for 10 days. The auction catalog is on the Shark Research Institute’s home page at www.sharks.org, and will have a link to directly enter the auction as soon as the auction opens.

Shark Research Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Winning bids are deductible as charitable contributions from US Federal 2013 income taxes. More Details.

I will be available mostly in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area, with opportunities in France (Paris, Fontainebleau, Angers in January), Chicago (Feb 15th), Columbus, OH (March 14th),  NYC (March 25-27),  or at the ends of the earth if ticket provided !

Group of people welcome.

In bonus I will draw on the table…

Good luck to you, to the Shark Research Institute, to the sharks, and thanks for your support.

...and Enjoy the Blue !
