On World Ocean Day, Pascal Lecocq joins Ocean Geographic’s Pictures of the Year 2025, the most important awards show for the ocean — a global celebration of the power of images to open minds, touch hearts, and inspire action.

The Pascal Lecocq Award of Excellence returns for its 10th year in the Ocean Geographic Pictures of the Year 2025, celebrating surreal underwater creativity.

The competition is judged by an elite panel of ocean luminaries, including Dr. Sylvia A. Earle, David Doubilet, Brian Skerry, Jennifer Hayes, Stephen Frink, Michael AW, and Pascal Lecocq — among others. Their collective expertise ensures that each selected image represents the pinnacle of marine visual excellence.
